Tail light visibility

I built some steel tail light boxes and put led trailer lights in.. What v I'm wondering is if I need to add lights/reflectors on the side to be legal? There trailer lights definitely fulfill the legal descriptions I found for stop lamps (visibility from distance) and they are DOT approved, just unsure if marker lights need to be put on the side or not.

Side of what?

Vehicles need marker lights. Not sure about trailer. I'd run marker lights. Make it visible!

I got those 3/4" led round trailer marker lights that pop in with a grommet. Im running the oval trailer brake lights in the boxes you can buy at northern tool to weld to a trailer. I've got the boxes welded to the tubes on my truggy. I put one 3/4 marker light in the side of the box as a side marker, I put another in the end of the tube where I cut the cage after shortening the truck.

Thanks, I was thinking there should be a light on the side of the tail lights
