Taller tires v. speedometer?

I'm going with a 265/75/16, instead of the stock 265/70/16.

Will this interfere with my speedometer reading (will it still read, correctly)?

If not, is the "fix" pretty easy for a qualified mechanic?

Speedometer will show 3.4% too slow.
When your speedometer shows 60 MPH, you will actually be traveling 62.0 MPH

My Dodge has been off by 11% since 2002. Just remember as you drive but otherwise don't worry about it. Every 4x4 I've owned has ended up that way...go figure.

You get used to it....just don't use it as a excuse to a cop to try to get out of a speeding ticket...they may write you a separate ticket for having a speedometer that is not in good working order!

If you get way off and wanna make it right just get a Truspeed. It adjusts for any tire size and gearing changes. But as little as you're off your cool.
