Hey guys I'm back in business, I scored an 88 Toyota truggie on 37's. It is begging for a ram assist as it still has the stock gearbox. Has anyone or does anyone know someone on the board who can tap the gear box for me? I will gladly compensate you for your time. It will save me from buying a tap and worrying if I am doing it right. I would appreciate any help or advice! Thanks Patrick.

Ive never done one, but it looks fairly easy. The FAQ on pirate has a pretty good writeup IIRC.

Yea I watched a video on youtube with same dude. I have taken a J10 box apart once and ball bearings went flying everywhere! That's why I'm kind of skeptical to do it now....

Found this on you tube looks pretty straight forward.
Yea I actually bought a whole tapped gear box from the dude who did this video! He is awesome to deal with! Found a write up by him on Pirate, anyone looking for a tapped Toyota gear box in the future he charges $135 shipped for a rebuilt tapped gear box. He is located in Northern VA so shipping is quick.
