tapping power steering pump.

has anyone tapped a power steering pump (WJ one specifically)? I thought I could run an external reservoir like a PSC and add more fluid.

figured I could put a pipe tap in the side and run a -8jic fitting.

What's the difference in it and a 4 cyl xj or TJ pump w/ ext reservoir? I just answered your question with another question.

JR they are the same pump and same reservoir. Psc's has a bigger remote one that holds more fluid.

Exactly. I finally got my box to work right with the WJ reservoir, but it now has a leak. So I'm going to try a rubber o ring and it that doesn't fix it, then I'm going to attempt to tap it and run the above reservoir.
