taurus fan on xj

Hey y'all I have heard of taking the fayn off a taurus and putting it on an xj and I was just wondering how to do it? I actually have 2 fans so if I mess up one I have a spare. Thanks!

whats the diameter on a Taurus fan? How tall is an XJ radiator? I think it will be tricky.

Very tricky the radiator is an aluminum one and very thick and 10 to 12in tall and the diameter on the fan is like 12 in

Yeah, good luck with that! Have you looked into adding another electric fan in place of the mechanical? Appears to be a common mod in the XJ world...

Yea I have...see the reason I got this radiator is my fan blade busted a hole in my other one and if that happened to this radiator id prolly cry......anyway thanks for the diameter for the fan and yea a whole lot of luck

I would probably look into why your fan blade busted your first radiator to begin with.There is nothing wrong with the stock mechanical fan in Cherokee's when working properly. here is the link I've had saved if i ever decided to do it with mine http://jeep-xj.info/HowtoTaurusFanInstall1.htm. would be a tight fit with a thicker radiator
