Has anyone put a 4.3 v-6 tbi set up on a 350? How did it work, and what changes did you have to make for decent performance. I know i need an adapter plate to fit my intake manifold, but what else? I have a complete 91 S-10 blazer with a blown motor that i'm going to use it off of. Thanks

biggest issue would be the ecm and dizzy.
you will need one off a v8 to control advance.
not sure on the TB size if its same or not

I was looking at possibly purchasing an Affordable Fuel Injection TBI kit, But got to thinking I have a complete tbi set-up already. I wonder if i can get just an ecm from them that is already set-up. What would happen if i adapted what i have for the fuel part of the system, but hooked up my Performance single wire hei dist. independently of the system?

well honestly if your thinking about buying a kit just do that. Attempting to use a few things you have laying around with boughten stuff will only make you unhappy with the end results and likely blame it on the vendor.

You mentioned wanting to reuse your HEI. BUT the computer controlled timing it one of the main items that makes a TBI setup run as well as it does...

It is very possible with some homework that you could piece a TBI set up together. Depending on the ECM you can control a V6 or V8 with nothing other than a chip swap. You'd need to put the proper sized injectors for a 350 but many other sensors are the same..

go to thirdgen.org ... search and read for a few weeks. There are tons of FAQs that cover more everything
