I'm sure this has been discussed before.........

I am looking for a write up for converting a AMC 304 to GM TBI

I just scored a 91 TBI ECM and wiring harness from a 91 Cadilac fleetwood.

If all you have is a harness and ecm, I would scrap both of them and look for a tbi set-up from a 87-94 gm truck. You can use the gm distributor,(firing order is the same), throttle body(have to use an adapter plate), etc... I got a harness from affordablefuelinjection.com and it worked great. Good luck with the swap.
 
I *think* to use the dizzy you have to get it modified?
Not sure on that one.
But you will need TBI, ECm, harness, dizzy and sensors unless you are buying all new...
 
Yea def don't try and mix an match TBI systems get it all from the same vehicle thats the same year, for instance I know for a fact a 92 TBI system in a truck is different from a 95 tbi truck and that the late 80's TBI truck system is different from both as well, small things changed here and there over the years just w/in the trucks
 
I do have the TBI.................but in Doing some reseach and looks like the ECM is different from the trucks and also difficult to find parts for. I may have to sell them on ebay and start over.

I wonder if the TBI itself is different?
