I'm converting big block to TBI. I'm using stock throttle body with harness from Howell. I want to use inline fuel pump mounted on frame rail. I also wanted to use one available locally so replacement would be easy. I'm not quite sure what pressure pump I can use, I thought about 20 psi. Thanks for any help.

An E2000 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/_/N-8vcz2?itemIdentifier=386516_0_0_) would probably work just fine for your application... and it's a shelf item at Autozone, O'Reilly's, and other stores. The pressure numbers will probably scare you, but it will reduce significantly via an unrestricted return line. Another option is an E8094 (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Airtex-Master-Fuel-Pump/_/N-8vcz2?itemIdentifier=21866_0_0_) which is specifically for TBI, but is not a shelf item. There is also another one for about $60, but I can't recall the part number. If you have a parts man who will work with you I would suggest trying the E2000 first. Hope this helps. :)

Yep.
E2000.
I agree with Don on this one, your results may vary.

Have been running fleabay variety E2000's ($35) on both mine & Taters TBI conversions for several years now.
The keys are using a filter *BEFORE* the pump and mounting it near mid-line of the tank to reduce the head it has to pull.

As said, they are capable of much higher pressure than needed, but the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) on the TB will bleed off everything over 15#

Agreed. I use a filter before the pump to take out all the crap that might be in my fuel cell.
And i use a second filter after the pump in case it takes a shit to protect my injectors.
Just saying.

Thanks for all the great advice. I'm going with the e2000 with fore and aft filters. Yes the pressures did throw me at first.

When I checked the specs for the 8193 it showed up as a diesel pump as well as others in the psi and gpm range for tbi. Will they work ok with gas?
