I'm putting a TBI system on a 69 year model SBC 350. I was told the motor had a mild cam in it when i got it, but I'm not sure. There are no numbers on the front of the cam shaft to go by. I'm going with a 94 year model TBI system on it. My question is will this stock TBI work if my motor has a cam without doing anything to the computer? Thanks for any help!

Yes it will "work"

Without knowing the specs of the cam, we cant say how well.

If the computer needs tweaking it can be done easily and cheaply thanks to WInDll and a DIY cable

OK I think I have everything lining up now! I'm now needing a fuel pump. I would like one that mounts on the frame rail. What kind of pump have you guys found that works the best?

E 3000 from advance in line fuel pump 48 to 60 psi.
I think you mean e2000. That's what I'm running on my TBI conversion. Its from a 87-91ish ford truck or bronco.

Its been running mine for 5 years. The only regulator is the stock TBI built in unit. When you check the fuel pressure its at 15 psi now. I shimmed the regulator spring because it used to have 9 psi. You just have to run good return line, my return is 3/8" just like the feed line.

Where are you checking the fuel pressure at if the regulator is in the TBI unit?

There's an adapter that tees into the pressure feed line that screws into the TBI unit. That's where I checked the pressure originally. I've since installed a permanent test port at the outlet of the e2000. I get the same reading there. The pump is capable of 60+ psi dead headed, but if the regulator and return lines can handle the excess it'll do 9-15 psi just fine.

There is a low pressure TBI external pump that looks identical I can't remember the part number but it was $30 more than the e2000 and had to be special ordered at most part stores. I went with the e2000 due to the lower price and the fact that it was stocked at all the parts stores near uwharrie and Harlan where I wheel the most, since it fits thousands of ford trucks that are still on the road.

Good to know. I just went by GM's specs when I installed my AFI TBI system. Maybe I'm not giving it enough fuel. Ill do some more research...

Yeah I was already told 12ish psi would b good. I do have a regulator that I'm running now on my carb b/c it was there when I got it. So everyone agrees e2000 on the SBC?

Yes, E2000 pump and the factory regulator in the TBI unit will handle it just fine as long as your return line is good. 12 psi is just fine. You can fine tune the fueling to a point by adjusting the fuel pressure up or down and running a wide band O2 sensor. Obviously not nearly as much tuning ability as a computer flash, but at least it is something.
