Has anyone used Afforabnle Fuel Injection, and what did you think of them? I'm more interested in their wire harness than anything. I've been told to stay away from painless as they can be a pain-in-the-butt to work with. What do ya'll think?
 
I had good experience with AFI. I have their basic harness and chip. Chip went bad and I sent it back and they replaced it, no charge. Harness was labeled well and was easy to hook up. That said, if I had it to do again I would probably reuse the OEM harness and just get a chip. But I have no complaints on product or service.
 
Is yours a stand alone? I'm concerned that i have an older style motor and manual trans and i don't to confuse the ecm.
 
Not sure what you mean by stand alone? AFI will/can make the harness to use which ever sensors you want to use and the chip to match. Mine was made to use the four sensors needed to run properly, CTS, O2, MAP and TPS IIRC.
 
What i mean by stand alone is for is for the ecm to not control the spark, trans, and a.b.s ect. just fuel only and still keep my m.s.d. What was your turn around time from them on your intial purchase and your second repair?
