TC Lockup wiring

Ok... got some noob TC lockup questions.

I believe the Blue wire is 12v, and the Purple is the ground.

I was reading that I can connect the purple and striped wires together, and just run the 12v to my switch.

Does anyone know if these have to be connected to a ground on the chassis, or will they ground through the transmission/engine?

What are the impacts of doing this (bypassing a pressure swicth setup)? Will this give me transbreaking on downhills?

I put a switch on my ground wire so i can turn off and on my overdrive when needed. My wires were different colors so I cant help you there.

Give Bowtie Overdrives a call. They are very helpful with tech. I have put a couple of their TC lockup kits in my own vehicles and they work great.

You put a switch on the ground? Why not on the 12v in? Was there a reason? I suppose it shouldn't matter?????

The instructions said to put the switch on the ground wire. I got my lock up kit from TCI.
