I'm sure I'm not the only one following this. For those of you who don't know, on June 23, a group of 12 teen boys and their soccer coach went into a local cave to explore like they had done many times before. Then a torrential rain came along, blocked the entrance, and forced them about 2 miles into the cave complex. It took 9 days to find them, which is a miracle in itself considering the conditions and distance. Even after 9 days without food, they were in ok shape. Now more rain is coming and there are fears that the area where they are harbored may flood, so it sounds like the rescue effort is about to begin.
Here's a decent overview:

And a live feed:

Send your thoughts and prayers up for these boys and everyone involved. It's gonna be a tough mission with life or death consequences, limited resources, and a fight against the clock.

Yes, I've been following it. Thought they had a good idea, in searching for another way in, or place to bore a rescue hole.
Seems nothing has been found, & I guess the area is isolated, to get any sizable equipment into. Not very Promising, when a Trained Rescue Diver, dies on his own. They say he ran out of air.

Latest news is that the first group of 4 kids is safely out!

That pretty much sums it up. </thread>
