These are my Slickrock pics. My brother took the Lower 2 pictures and a friend took some video of Lower 2.
We had to winch at the ledge at the very top of Slickrock (the hill climb was bad enough) and the ledge was just too wet for some 33's.
We also ran Lower 2 and I had to winch about 10 feet to get un-hi-centered... But other than that no problems. The XJ was the brunt of many jokes (I was asked if i was planning to just go and watch people wheel slickrock) at lower 2 a few guys said they hoped we were planning on camping out here b/c the XJ would be winching all the way to the top. If you're on this board well it only took about 35mins to get to the top.
All in all I only had to pull cable twice on the trip so not too bad for 33's.
We also met some Palmeto Krawlers... nice group of guys...
Here's a few pictures and i'll get more up and a video this week.

i was under the inpression that lower 2 and slick rock were closed, were there no signs up or anything

There was talk about closing Lower 2, Slickrock, and Peckerwood but nothing panned out this year. I talked w/ the Ranger Station and they said they had been called so many times they were not going to do it this year. Also, some of the people up there w/ cabins threatend to sue if they shut down.

Thanks JR we need to get a group together and ride Harlan sometime

Zack, the RK arms worked very well. Its extremely flexy but no dropped coils. The only annoying thing about the RK stuff is the joints sometimes squeek. I will probably cut them off in the near future and weld in some Superflex joints at the axle end.

that is awesome,we had delayed a trip because we were told that all those trails were closed soi guess our trip is back one thanks for the iinfo

Ok just wondering, when we went up the week of Tellico, we had to wait for them to clear the trees that they just cut because of the bridge

Let me know when your thinking about Harlan, I'll check the calender.. I know we have a few people talking about Paragon or Rausch Creek. But I'd be up for Harlan....
