Going up on Fri and wheeling until we break or Sun(whatever comes first)

So far only two rigs going:

Mine--79 Jeep CJ-5 on rockwells and 14r20 xl's, 600hp on propane that needs to be opened up. I'm dreaming of burnouts on Slickrock.

And---97 Jeep TJ on Dana 44/dana 60--39.5 irocs--long arm with full widths


This will be both of the rigs first trip to Tellico--so it's on.

The single obstacle above Slickrock is worse than Slickrock itself, good luck. You'll need the power, especially if its wet.
 
No there is a spot above that. The only guys I saw make it had coilovers, long wheelbase, V8, IROK 38s and both of them bounced up and stood on the gas. This rock is a couple hundred yards above the "ramp." Its kind of similar to the right side of Slickrock but with dirt thrown in
 
I will be there with a large group of toyotas. we will be staying at crawfords. I will be in a SASed white first gen with a can-back on it.

I'll be there too, with the same Toyota group. I'll be in a black 85 4runner on 39.5 boggers with a few stickers & a V-8.
 
Sweet, Get up with us. Will be camping closer to the trails. I'm in a blue CJ slightly modifiied and there is a black TJ on 39.5 Irocs also. Will be the FRi afternoon. Lets ride
 
Cool, I will be there tomorrow if everything works out.
Friday I plan on doing slickrock, but Saturday I have to lead a group of mildly modified rigs.

BTW I'm looking for a 15x12 or 15x14 6 lug Toyota wheel for a spare tire I have if anyone knows of one.
 
I saw 1985 4 runner, you past me at the water crossing on Fri--I think. I was the blue CJ on rockwells. I had a great time. We did slickrock, guardrail, heli pad, schoolbus, and half of lower 2. I blasted that spot you were talking about above slickrock--it is a nice little accleration(sp?) ramp. Lower 2 was crazy. I drove it on Sunday after the hail and rain storm and it was a muddy mess. I smacked a rock hard a got a coolant leak. Didn't want to risk damage to the motor so I turned around. You guys missed a great trip. Maybe next time.

792.5cj5 this may be a crazy question, but do you live off woodfield dr? if so i saw you tooling around the neighborhood when i went to the in-laws house the other night.

I saw you, nice Jeep. We had a great time too. I broke an inner axle seal the first day, but got a new one in & had no probs the rest of the weekend. I need to beef up ,y front axle to do schoolbus, guardrail & some more this summer.

I want to head back up there around October maybe. I hope to have my truck finished by then.
Here's a pic of some of the damage I did when my bogger stuffed my wheel well & crunched the fender.:smokin:
