Tellico OHV area

Hello. I have a quick question on Tellico. A friend of mine wants to go ride her horse in Tellico, but I told her that I think that they are not allowed. Can any one confirm this for me? I hoping that they are not allowed, so then she will have to ride in my toyota. Thanks.

LOL... That's one way to get her with ya... Even if they were allowed (I doubt they are), there's a GOOD chance of it getting spooked, or hit (especially on trail 1).

My thoughts exactly on getting run over. Is there an official site or someone that I could call like a ranger that would know for sure?

You might be able to find it here http://www.cs.unca.edu/nfsnc/recreation/recreate.htm if not there is a horse trails link and it will give you the information of the different ranger stations and you can call and ask.

google tellico and then search the tellico 4x4 site and they have all the names and contats and will tell you I think there are places for them to ride and depending on how many 4 wheelers are there they could run the ATV only trails. Look it up. I know there are women and men who ride horses down the TN side of tellico. and there are horse trails somewhere. bye.
