Tesla Cybertruck

I think in his mind, nothing would have happened and the ball would hit the floor and he would have gotten a lot of gasps from the audience.
Sure, but that's not how it works. And you would think he, or someone in the team that planned the reveal, would know that. Or maybe test it with the same thing you're going to use in the live reveal...

interned guys are already having fun with it too.

I agree. I am honestly shocked that he didn't hit the door or completely miss the entire truck. Although, like someone else mentioned before...the window did its job, just wasn't up to the Elon Musk standards I guess.

Anyone else notice how squatted that bitch is with just a 4 wheeler? The whole thing is ugly as sin.
Came here to say this same exact thing!
I highly doubt the target demographic is the 4 wheeler crowd anyway. I see this as a 'Starbucks Dad' rig...the guy that wants power, but also wants to be environmentally conscious, but can still say he 'has a truck'.
The bottom picture just broke the interweb w/ the overlanding crowd

I've been waiting for the release also. I'm disappointed but not surprised.

I think the whole thing is a joke by Musk. I'm no Tesla fan boi, but this is a giant turd of a design compared to everything else they build.

Media stunt. Attention grabber for sure. I can't fathom a true build of this nature. If it is in fact a real production We are seeing the decay of an artist.....i.e. Headed toward Micheal Jackson territory at this rate.

Looks like a doorstop with wheels.
Looks about as functional as a doorstop with wheels.

I hope they make a diesel model

If I want an overpriced angular boxy electric SUV/truck, I'd probably go with the Bollinger.

Yeah, but no one knows what a Bollinger is, and everyone knows what a Tesla is. Everyone will look admiringly at your Tesla at Starbucks, because it's a Tesla. The ones that aren't completely self-absorbed may even ask you "How many bags of mulch will it carry", or "Why would you need a bed in the back?".

Oh shit, I just realized something: Did Tesla make sure that it fits in the slightly smaller than normal parking spaces directly in front of every Starbucks? I'm starting to sweat when I think about the consequences of what could happen..... "I liked my Tesla truck, but I had to trade it in because I couldn't park it within 5 spaces of the Starbucks door. It was either park farther away, or get a different car".
Is this going to be the first warranty claim? Can you lemon-it-out for that?

One review I saw said it was wider than his new Tacoma, which might make your comment an accuracy.

It's supposed to be mostly a full size truck, so that would sound about right. Even Musk was quoted as saying that he didn't know what the market for it actually was, or how many people would actually buy it.

I was chuckling when an article was saying the base model would be targeted at $40k, after mentioning the bulletproof glass, and the aerospace stainless alloy that was developed for the SpaceX rockets. And of course, the electric drivetrain and battery pack large enough for a full sized pickup. Totally feasible for $40k, and on sale in 2 years. Think a few things may change....?

I'll just leave this here.

Although, a 500 mile range in an electric car, esp a truck, is something I can start to get behind.

500 mile range with nothing in the bed, a 100lb driver, and no passengers. MAYBE

I like it. I wonder if you can finance it with as set of solar panels/batteries to charge it up.
