Looking for direct, honest feedback from Jeep owners.

I have been developing a heavy duty Jeep TJ, MJ, XJ and ZJ tie rod. The tie rod will be a direct replacement, 100% bolt on. The specs are:
-1"x 0.250" DOM
-The tubing will be threaded. No welded inserts
-Factory Jeep taper
-3/4" tie rod ends in 2 different grades
-Will include jam nuts

Price will be in the neighborhood of $140 shipped with premium MOOG tie rod ends and $115 shipped with good quality tie rod ends.

What do you guys say? Would you be interested at the prices listed?

Your competition will be a zj swap (new) and they run $85 to $110. Make sure to highlight how yours is better/stronger etc. I like the idea Jody! Good luck.

Thanks Jay.
True. But those TR kits (I looked at them pretty closely) do not include not top quality TRE's. I personally don't like adjusters either due to that being a weak link.

Sounds like a great idea, I've often wondered why this wasn't readily available. If I didn't already have Teraflex highsteer I'd be interested.

6061 or 7075?

How would yours compare to the Ruffstuff kit? I know on the RS kit, you have to cut it to the proper length and weld the ends, but many folks can do that or have access to someone who can do it for them.

Mine will show up ready to install out of the box. All you would have to do is adjust to length (set toe). Since mine will be threaded, there is no cutting or welding. Simply remove old tie rod and install the new one.
The first run will be for TJ, ZJ, XJ and MJ length. In the future I may do others.

That's certainly an advantage. Good luck with the project!!
