TF727 with what xfer?

i picked up a tf 727 today that used to have a dana 20 bolted to it so it has the bull gear sticking out of the end. i need to know what xfer case can i use and what will it take to work on that output on the tranny. and it needs to be driver side drop. thanks.

Sounds like you mat have a 727 from a 1980 scout, it had a Dana 300 with the "texas" pattern of the dana 20. I'm not aware of any 727's that actually came with a dana 20 attached(could be though, anythings possible).
I think you would be better off to find a 727 from an '80 up full size Jeep as they had the more commen 6bolt/23 spline output.

yes, it has the texas 5 pattern. It may have had a 300 originally but it had a 20 on it more recently. should i get a new tail housing with the 6 bolt or try to find a xfer case that will work.

oh, the tranny is from a dodge truck, and the d20 was from a scout.

u could maybe try getting a dodge 203... and then making a doubler using a ford 205 behind it....

heres a good site to show the diff bull gears used in the d20, so youll know exactly what u have... should have the 23spl shaft...

If so then with an adapter off a jeep 727 will give u the round pattern, and any DSD jeep xfer case will work...
