Saw a truck pulling a mini van on a tow dolly up South blvd. around a year ago. Same scenario front tire went over the front but being a tow dolly all 4 van tires were on the ground and they were still going. Didn't get to see them make a turn though.:shaking:
 
I helped a guy once who had a pickup truck that jumped over a dolly like that. He didn't have any straps and put a chain on it to keep it from coming off the back of the dolly. He didn't put much thought into stopping.

I think that's a universal problem. Hang out up at Eldorado Outpost for a weekend, and you see LOTS of rigs come in with a dozen straps and a winch line holding the front end down. But only one 2" ratchet strap looped up over the back bumper... in no real position to hold the rig if they have to stop suddenly.
