Nope, the 14 bolt is about as strong as it gets in the 3/4-1 ton range and just about the cheapest axle to rebuild.
 
Depends on what you call better? In stock form the 14b is stronger but you are limited in what gear ratios and lockers you can get. The Dana 60 has a huge choice of available gear ratios and lockers but in stock form its slightly weaker than the 14b but easily upgraded. Think about the end result you want and choose the axle that will best fit thoes results.

Also, the d60 will give you a little more clearance under the differential.

Good Advice
There is little in favor of the 14 bolt other than it is cheap.
Yes, it a little bit stronger than a D60 in stock form, but if you are going to big enough tires to worry about the difference, you are limited by the gear ratio. 5.13 is as low as you can get.
Worth repeating -
Think about the end result you want and choose the axle that will best fit thoes results.
What are you REALLY going to do with the vehicle?
