My list of 4x4s over the last 10 years has consisted mostly of Jeep and Toyota. YJ, TJ, XJs, Zjs, etc.. '82, '85, '87, '89, '95, and '96. While I've enjoyed building and wheeling all this I must say it's not enough. It's never enough! Over the last 2 years of building this newest TJ, I've grown somewhat bored with it lately and try to visualize what cool other 4x4 chassis would look good wrapped around the drivetrain. I'm by no means throwing in the towel on this "Jeep" but I'm always daydreaming about owning other cool and strange to me 4x4s and how fun they would be to build.
For me, the coolest 4x4 I've never owned would have to be a 78-79 Bronco. I always loved John Hughbanks' big blue Bronco from Ultimate Adventures past. Plus I'd love to have one in the driveway with a LS 6.0 and GM 1 tons in it. :flipoff2:

What's your dream build? And what would you do to it?

Had a 78 bronco. Cool ride. a handfull of other bronco's, including a Sherrod GT convertible Bronco II. had a 89 land cruiser, another cool ride. But i really miss my 2001 Dodge ram.

Let me introduce you to Nellie Belle.I found her behind a house and gave 125 for her.I built her with my own hands from just a frame and body. This was in 1992 and been in my stable since.

^^^ that! Is freaking cool!!!

Flatfender pimpin, take your willys out and play with it.I have always wanted to build a one ton v8 flatty,a half or one ton 96 exploder v8 family rig,a four cylinder turbo kids buggy, and a tube buggy for myself.but honestly I did build one of my favorite rigs a fullsize ford crawler its kinda rare to see huge fullsize rigs beating around on the hardcore trails

Ive owned a ton of xjs, a wj, 2 zjs, 2 yjs, and one MJ... and I gotta tell you the one I wish I had back is the comanche.

If I could have any one rig it would be a Comanche with a gnarly parts list...

97+ Front Clip and interior swap
Ford hp 60 front
Shaved 14 bolt in the rear
4 link front and rear with coilovers
LS under the hood
4l80 trans
atlas tcase
Sitting on 42 TSL's for the trails and bar crawling.

Mine would actually be my current crawler. 78 J 10 truggy

I rode in a neighbors 69? Commando w a hopped up Buick V6 years ago and was impressed w it's performance. It was fast and fun on dirt and asphalt roads and small and nimble offroad, I wanted to buy it but he wasn't about to sell it.

An all Mopar based commando would be sick!! Just dreaming here. Viper v10, built 727 torque flight, dodge 205, 70 rear, 60 front and seats 5! What!!

For me- the Hummer H4.

It was due out before the deal to sell the company went through. The concept H4's were used in the last Transformers movie and the wife and I were getting ready to sell our H3 to pick one up.
