I'm trading the GSXR750 for a 1300 Busa, so I'm using the same GSXR sami. Going with toy trans and tc.

Original GSXR sami

Im using a serpentine belt instead of a v, I had some slippage before, and the ignition pick up is in the side cover not on the cam like the 750. That is going to add some length to the drivetrain and a pita to seal the pto off the crank.

holy hell. Ive seen the gsxr sammi and it was definately badass, if you can make this work, and I have no doubt you can, I can't wait to see it. Will watch this thread.

I never saw this thing look like it needed any more horsepower even with the 750. lol, this thing oughta be wild!

Ah, the Busa. Great choice. Always stay with Suzuki can't go wrong.

Not being a motorcycle kinda guy I am curiuous.
Will it rev as high as the 750?
Is there a big difference in torque/horse power?

double the displacement, double the fun !

I cant tell by the pics, are you using both the busa and the sami transmissions? (hopefully only 1 clutch) ;)

When I first saw the Gixxer Sami, my head immediately spun to Busa motor, and then to "how much does a Goldwing 6-cyl weigh?". Glad to see you are taking the next step.

i thought the other sami build was outta this world and now a busa? i CANT waith to see this thing

750= 125 hp peak. only at the last 1500 rpms
= 51 ft lbs torque

busa 1300 = 175hp stock
= 110 torque

The busa's torque and hp start climbing at 2500 rpms to 5 or 6 then level out. I'm hoping to not have to run the crap out of this motor. Maybe DK will post a graph.

Here are a couple of power graphs I put together.

even with a helmet on, there was a frequency up above 11k rpms that really hurt my ears, more than uncomfortable. I lived thru it, ride was fun as hell. Dare I say the busa might be more civilized?

Two engine cradles. busa left 750 rt

I made a torque cradle for the t case to minimise the twisting of the drive line. I don't think this would work on a th350 with the weak tail housing
