If you are making a sandwich and get to the end of the bread loaf and there is only one normal slice and one heel left, how do you handle the situation?

Yup. We'd flip the two heels inside out and they never said a word.

I still do that.
I mean really, it's pretty similar.

The heel can be various things to me, but it never gets thrown away.

When they land alone, I'll just butter them up with Brummel and Brown. Pretty dang good cold.

For grilled cheese, i turn it inside so i can get a nice brown crust like the inside slices.

My favorite is a half conrad and hinkle pimento cheese. That, of course, is in addition to the full sandwich i already had :laughing:
