The mysterious 6 speed wrangler tranny

I have an nsg-370 tranny in my 2005 jeep wrangler and I have a few minor issues. First is excessive shaking when taking off from a stop. A mount is the issue but I'm not sure and by shaking I mean the shifter moves back and forth at least 6inches. Next is a chattering sound in 4th when shifting normally and it goes away or I just can't hear it at higher rpm (around 2.2k) And last reverse has to be almost slammed back to keep from half ass engaging and grinding. Anyone with suggestions Is welcome to comment!

It sounds like the chattering taking off is a warped flywheel. Reverse sycro may be worn a little but I have to push mine kinda hard at times to get it to go in if I'm sitting still. Other issues I don't know.

it sounds like clutch issues, the chattering and reverse engagement are both clutch issues and if the springs in the disc are shot it could create 4th gear issues also.

Mud in the clutch could be your problem.
