The proud parent thread.

My son sent this to me today. Lol

Boys (3 & 4) had their first teeth cleaning/dental exam today. The youngest William was scared so Waylon offered to sit with him and hold his hand.

It was sweet and hilarious at the same time. Waylon was so interested in the whole process. At one point he was closer than the hygienist.

My little pirate. This dude loves anything to do with the water. The day isn’t complete unless we fish for a little while every evening. He likes catching catfish and the occasional turtle. He thinks it’s hilarious when he snags a turtle for some reason. I’m ready for an offshore trip when he’s older. Side note. That weirdo dog likes to lick the catfish and eat the stink bait. Big dummy.

He caught himself a stud a few weeks ago. We’ve got one hanging under the ramp that I’m not sure he could reel in. I hope he hooks him so I can watch the fight. I feed them every night, so I’ve got every size range hanging around.
My grandfather put in about 20 ponds on his land in Aiken and tried raising them so I’ve seen my share. Add in the ones from Santee I’ve seen… get him some livers and gizzards from the store and set him up one night and he’ll get that big one. You probably know that though. Sorry. Kudos for him. Let me know if y’all want a trek to Aiken for a different view. Most the ponds are gone but some are still there.

I finally got the fishing boat up and running. I’m ready for him to hook into a bass that’ll give him a fight. He’ll be hooked for sure then. No pun intended.

Bass are my favorite fish to catch and eat.

More of a "funny $h!t kids say" moment than a "proud parent" moment, but this seemed like the most appropriate place to share...

I was about to hop in the shower last night after mowing the yard when my 4 y.o. son walks in my bathroom, sees me nekkid, and says "Wow, daddy you have a big P3ni$!" I instinctively responded with "Thank you buddy!" (Didn't really know how else to respond) To which he reiterated "That is REALLY big!"

I assume/hope his only point of comparison is his own. Based on this assumed sample set, I guess I'm really packing the heat. I choose to accept it as a compliment. It was the ego boost I didn't know I needed.
