Does anyone else smell the setup here.... I mean come on - interviewed by GQ Magazine and then being surprised by his answers? That's about like Ted Nugent being interviewed by a vegan and taking offense at his stance on hunting.
The problem really isn't what he said, but it's more what people are interjecting into his statements to make them even more controversial. He said he personally doesn't see what a gay man could see in another man. He also quoted scripture which is the basis of his belief (as is mine). According to the Bible, adulterers, gays, male prostitutes and a whole string of others will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. He quoted the Bible and cited his reference. He was not the first to say this controversial statement. God said it first. You can choose to not believe it, or say that scripture is not God-breathed, or it's just a bunch of malarkey - that's your choice. It also says, "Do not be deceived" Man is the one saying that we need to allow homosexual behavior as "OK", not God.
He said that HE never saw a black person mistreated. It was the leaders of the NAACP that interjected that he was claiming they were better under Jim Crow than now. He was just reporting what he saw or didn't see.
