I wanted to share the build of my friends suzuki samurai. The name Samuron came from an alcoholic guy we know so dont ask what it means because your guess is as good as mine.
He started with a 92 samurai that already had a full calmini lift kit, body lift, custom sheet metal work( cut up), and some 35 inch mud kings. heres the pics.

Then we got stupid. We removed the samurai axles and threw them to the side. Got a set of J10 full width dana 44's. Also got a set of YJ leafs. This rig will not be driven on the road so we wanted to go all out on it. We planned on stretching the wheelbase about 12 inches or so. With the aformentioned parts and a large box of stuff from ruffstuff(thanks Dan) we cut it up. We removed the first 10 inches of frame rail. built a new one with 2x4 and welded it on.

The problem we had in the front is making somewhere to mount the leaf springs because the leaf spring center to center is wider than the frame rails. we made boxes to weld to the frame and then weld our mounts to that. The wheelbase ended up somewhere around 17 inches longer. Here are some more random pics of what we have done so far. Still need to do alot of small stuff like brakes, driveshafts, remove the body lift, and alot I cant remember. Enjoy and feel free to tell us what you think.

We finish welded all the stuff for the front and set the pinion angle and welded her up. Still got to center the rear and set the pinion angle and weld that to.

Also got to get some different flanges for the T-case to make some driveshafts for it. Any advice on the best way to do that? Got to mate it with the dana 44's yoke.

Should get the gears for it sometime. Going 5:89's.
