Yeah but now we already have the internet, is this supposed to be a second layer of internet? I have to admit, I have no earthly idea what the "metaverse" is. It makes no sense to me. Are they betting that everyone will just forgo the real world and walk around in their homes with VR goggles on until they either starve to death or the power gets cut off because they haven't actually participated in life and work and paying bills and shit?

I also do not understand NFT's? Why tf is someone going to pay for something that they can legally download for free and which the master copy is identical to a copy? Both seem like classic examples of "fools and their money"

As dumb as it may be, people are spending and making "real" money on it.

I don't think the music has stopped quite yet for Bitcoin and the other cryptos, but it has slowed. I think it will still be around in 10yrs, but not worth anything near what it is now, kinda like Pokemon cards 🤣

But it's not because you (or I) don't understand it that it's stupid or worthless.
