I thought I'd throw this up here. The mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall will be at the Historic Camden Revolutionary War site this weekend.

The American Legion Post #17 of Camden welcomes The Wall That Heals to Kershaw County, the only South Carolina location on its 2018 Tour Schedule. Honoring the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War, The Wall That Heals bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. We invite the community to participate in this momentous and reverent opportunity.

I don't see any locations in NC this year.

I'm planing on going since I've never seen this even though I have seen the one in Washington. Just thought I'd share. It's a neat event at a neat historic location that could be a nice day trip for some of y'all.

Went late Saturday afternoon as the sun was setting. Was a very emotional scene for the wife. We always knew her dad was in Vietnam but nothing more. After he passed this past year she found a diary. He was a part of the Coast Guard Operation Market Time. Jerry Phillips was his “budy” that was killed in a friendly fire accident by the Air Force.

I learned that the first panel marked 1959 was the list of casualties the fist 5 years the next panel was 5 months and the third was mostly or all from the Battle of La Drang. They had a cobra on a trailer out there a 151, a couple trucks and an ambulance. Was an amazing thing to see.
