They are all in my yard

yeah they must have done that study somewhere other than the east coast. i've talked to alot of people that say that the deer are eating acorns and persimmons instead of the deer corn they are putting out for them.

agreed. there were more acorns this year where i hunt than there have been in a while.

Just depends on location. There are more around here than I can ever remember. In PA though, this years crop was non-existant.

i hunt in Granville County and the acorns have been awesome this year. We have killed some nice deer on our acorn ridge stands. Now two yrs ago none at all.

I have 3 tacts of land that I hunt spread pretty evenly across SC (well ok I dont have the SE corner, but not many hardwoods that way anyway) and in all 3 we are having are biggest acorn crop in easily 5 years.

My yard is like walking on marbles! Heard a big acorn crop means a harsher winter? It's been pretty cold for sure! Northern America is taking a beating... And it ain't officially winter yet!

I was out behind my property and there were deer tracks that looked like the dear were jumping my fence to collect marbles. I think I need to get my Bow out.

Tons of apples on the wild trees where I hunt as well. Alot still hanging in Ashe Co as there have been no snow to weight them down and drop. Acorns and pecans have been awesome as well.

I have never seen deer in my yard before this year. A few weeks ago, I had 6, including a pretty nice size buck eating the acorns out of my yard. I had so friggin many, it was like walking in a bin of ballbearings.

there are plenty of them in Hudson

I do not have any acorns, but the pecan tree took a severe beatin' from squirrels....

Man, where is Dylan and his bucket of oranges when you need him??

Ha...I just saw this.:stupid::flipoff2:
Why do you think thse deer were in my yard ? I have tons of acorns, i mean easily an inch deep in some places. Thats what they were enjoying when all of a sudden, The WARRIOR ambushed their white tail arses with an orange.
I would have chased one down too, but I'd look like Scooby Doo running on marbles.
But yeah 3 x as many acorns as last yr.
