The bike is awesome, nimble and weighs 300# (cafe)
but I just don't ride it at all...... and when i do it cruising at 30-35mph on back roads.....
I bough it for camping/RV bike that we could ride on it (me/wife)
.
I'm sitting here thinking, well what do i need ?
smaller, but not tiny
max I go like 10 miles from the house.
Max speed 55 mph
i have to go on town roads ~45 mph
also 55 mph (some time, more if i could)
so...
Honda CT125 ? (nice moped)

Honda PCX 150 ?

What else i out there ?
in the sub >250cc range ?
...
Help!!!!

A dual sport of some type. Heck, for the speeds you're talking a CRF230 would just about suffice.

I was going to say potentially a grom also, but 2 people and 55 won't be doable (same motor as the Trail125 you posted). The PCX150 probably has a very similar motor.

I don't think many scooters/mopeds are you going get you to 55 with 2 people.

A CRF230 with 2 people on roads at 45 I don't think would be very fun either.

Has to be street legal..... OR can you make the dirt bike readily street legal.
I have a street legal CRF230F. It's fine up to 45mph, but I wouldn't want to spend much time at 55+. But its a blast offroad.

Seems like you already have the right bike for your needs.

@BIGWOODY has gotten big into bikes over the past decade+. He may have some good input.

KTM 390. All my road bikes are from 900-1340cc and absolute overkill for anything except hauling ass or getting into a wiener measuring contest. For what your talking about I'd be on an adventure bike of some size , the 390 is a great entry size.
