Third Brake Light Question

Is there any law in NC that says you have to have a third brake light? Just checking before I drop some dough on a swing away tire carrier.

If your model is a 91 ish or newer yes, it is supposed to have a third brake light to pass NC Inspection. Can't remember the year make. Most likely if it came factory with the third light, it must have it.

yea, if it came with the 3rd light, you need it. Junky Lube failed my TJ one year cause I had it off.

Just transfer light to new swing out , no problem. You can use any style you like, since wiring is there it is very simple, Northern has a good selection.

Thanks for the replies. I'll do just what you said maverick and hook up a 3rd light on the swing away.
