Something I found that is a little interesting and something to consider if traveling by vehicle. http://hint.fm/wind/ But remember, most of the time the wind gets still at night. Zoom in and place your pointer and get speeds.

I imagine it picks up a touch around the hot dog cart, now and then.:p
 
This explains without a doubt why it so windy in Wyoming! Idaho Blows and Nebraska Sucks and Wyoming just gets caught in the middle!
