Not really.

My friggin' truck is driving me nuts. I love the damn thing, but it is costing me a ton recently. My alignment got out of whack and chewed up the front tires. Hated those tires anyway, so dropped some cash on an alignment and then dropped some bigger cash on a set of BFG All-Terrains for it. This was like 2-3 weeks ago.

Then I notice the truck doesn't start as easily anymore and is feeling sluggish, then the SES light comes on. Truck is running lean. I check fuel pressure and it is all over the place, and nowhere near what it should be. I have an extra regulator in the shop, so I throw that on there. No luck. Dammit.

I go down to the store and ask for a fuel pump. $270. What? I gotta buy the whole assembly. I don't need the whole assembly, just the pump. Sorry sir, it is an enclosed system. Like hell it is, two friggin clips and I get the sob out of that "enclosed system". Call all over town and no one can sell me just the pump. I can order a Holley or Walbro (same thing, different label) for $170, but then I gotta wait on it. Drop coin on that entire assembly and install it. Then for shits I take the old pump out of the old assembly, in like 30 seconds. Enclosed my ass.

So I get everything put back together and am gathering my tools when something catches my eye. RUST.

The entire rocker on the driver's side in the extended cab area is toast. There is not a spec of rust anywhere else on this truck, except right there. Now I gotta replace that friggin' rocker panel. :fuck-you:

I feel your pain! My 250 is waay out of alignment. Ball joints are toast which ate up my tires. While I was getting a quote to get the ball joints done I had them check some stuff on my clutch and they said it was about gone too. So knowing I'm going to need a clutch I called up the performance place I buy all of my mods from and they said I should go ahead and upgrade my clutch while I have the chance. Total quote of around $2700 for the entire job and my truck hasn't moved in over a month.

I feel your pain. I'd estimate that over the past 6-8 months, I've had to repair either my wife's WJ or my ZJ at least once each month. But at least they are paid for. When we went to Florida a few weeks ago, I wouldn't even drive either of them, I was going to rent a car but then I ended up borrowing Dad's truck. I think I've replaced about everything that can be replaced now, so I should be good.

Thank the good Lord that my trail-rig, my TJ, is the most reliable vehicle I've ever had.

I hear you guys...I decided to take this last weekend off. Given my rigs are older than most of yours and parts are cheaper (makes it a little easier), but I'm gettin tired of my ass hanging over the fender of something every weekend.

Check ebay on the fuel pump, got quoted $275 for the pump from advance auto, ebay has them all day for $85

I know, but I needed my truck back to drive today. I was working on swapping my intake on my TA, so that was down waiting on parts to come in the mail.

I even debated taking the fuel pump out of the TA to use, but I have a 255lph Walbro in it. Then I'd have to spend $200 for a new pump for the TA.

I exhausted all my available options before dropping $300 on the entire assembly. :(

How are the tanks to drop in a TA? My 3rd gen. was a royal pain! That and it was from PA so it had some rust. I believe you had to remove the exhaust and drop the rear axle?

That is some funny stuff right there! That has been my posture for the past several weekends!

Couldn't tell you, I just cut access panels in the floors.
