That is why the back bumper hangs down so low. Bumper/wheelie bar.

For the price... I would probably figure it out, throw a normal dually bed on it and relocate the box to a trailer.

look carefully at the running board it's doin a wheelie parked! I think that overhang would make it a terrible tow rig and hang up or drag easily on anything but flat roads, adding tongue weight would compound the problem. I imagine the box is built like a brick shithouse and it looks like it would be secure from anybody breaking into it.

I used t work at American Emergency Vehicles up in Ashe county NC. They had all kinds of these things coming back in for remounts (putting the box on a new chassis). I always thought it'd be nice to get a used chassis for a tow rig. Some even still have the box and would/could make a decent camper

Hell of a good price on low mile f550 long wb cab and chassis though. Box would scrap out over a grand as well.
