Where do you stay? How much per night? Would you stay there again? Do you have any contact info?

I've got a group going in April and the Cabins behind Buddie's are all booked up. There's a story to this, but I'll save it for another time. Anyways, I need some info on a place to rent. Camping is an option, but a last option if it comes to that. I don't much care for taking the RV up there while pulling the jeep.
 
Dude your a month (or so) too late.All that will be left at this date will be campin in the Verda field.We stay in the houses about every time.They sure aren't the Hilton,but good enuf for 2-3 days.IIRC they are about $100a night.Price depends on the amount of people stayin also.
 
No I'm really not. I'm not going for the weekend of the toyota thing or the show n shine (or whatever it's called). My trip is easter weekend. I planned around the big events. And FWIW, I did put in a reservation a month ago. They just never called me back.

I figured as much but it doesn't hurt to ask.:lol: I'm hoping George or shoope have some info. Worst case scenario is I take the RV and we stink it up like last spring. It's still better than a tent.
 
I called and recerved a few spots at the campground behind the dairy hut this week. As of Monday there was still some sites available. No reason to "stink" it up, they have a shower house, electric and water hook up, and a dump station.

Are you going to be up there Easter weekend as well? As for stinking it up, yeah I'll stick to pooping and showering in the RV. Last spring when I stayed in the campgroind, the chitters were a little on the rough side. It looked like chimps were using them. The showers were even scarier. It must have been a bad weekend there. I even felt dirty walking around in the same shoes that touched the bath house.
 
No, I will just be up there the first weekend. I talked to Debbie about the problems, and she said the issues were not that they don't clean them, but that locals( not sure why) and people not staying at the camp ground, would come up and use the shower house. They steal the toilet paper, paper towels, shower curtains, trash it up and vandalize them. She said RV's would come up and dump(Yes Chuck, I said Dump) and fill up with water, then drive away.
So yes they are aware of the problems, but unless they staff someone 24/7 I don't see it going away.
 
Some of the boggers are going that weekend and we made out plans when we left last easter. ive got thet # to the family we are renting from if u want it i can pm it to you

Just wanted to say thanks to all that have PM'ed me with info. I got a house reserved for my group and it's not in pillville!
