Whatever gets it to the house
 
It's not always what gets you to the house, It's what will work so you can finish a weekend, and then it worked so good, you forget about it till the next ride and you are either A. hurrying trying to get it right, or
B. forget all about it till it shows it's face again
I have never fixed one like that, but, in a bind, I have however welded a washer to the accomplish the same thing. It's amazing what you will come up with on the trail !

Plenty come in with washer's welded in the snap ring grooves Chip. lol
