I have seen several throttle controls for jeeps where they mount it to the shifter, on a manual, I want one but I run an auto, anyone else have this on an auto? I am thinking the bicycle cable type.
Pics would be awesome!

Bicycle cables work good but if your jeep has cruise control you can wire it with a few relays and a toggle switch. There is a write up on mallcrawlin.com you should be able to search for. I'm running that setup on my f150 with a transplanted jeep cruise servo

Chip, here's what I've done:

Most FI setups have an "AC (Air Conditioning) input" that when 12V is applied (simulating the AC being turned on/compressor clutch energized), will bump the idle by a programmed amount (mines currently programmed to +150RPM). I use this to force "high idle" after the engine is already warmed-up to keep the engine warm(er... during very cold weather), use with OBA, or off-idle alternator output/charging.

For all other uses (where the fixed AC bump doesn't fit), the bicycle type locking throttle cable is great for variable control or trailside "Cruise Control"

Galen's been running his throttle cable (mounted on the Auto column shifter) for years...
Mines still in a bag, hung in the garage for the past 2 years

Yeah, a few more RPM's is what I am after. Sometimes even in Low Low, climbing something can kill it(the engine). The uses I plan of it is all of the above. For OBA, Cruise in the woods, and just a little extra when crawling.

:driver:Chip, I got a few red bricks laying around. I'll bring ya one to try out on the skinny pedal @ Mountain City

Chip, I been running one for years, use it as a third foot, cranking flooded carb on a hill, or winching, & ect. Made little better than bicycle stuff. I ordered it from Rubicon Express. Just looked it up, they still list it as part RE1000. Didn't search for pic or price. Made to mount on stick shift. You could fab something up, for mounting. This also has adjustable tension/drag, to hold setting. LOL
