I used to work at Autohaus, (a Porsche, Audi dealer in Charlotte) and the shop truck was this. It was cool little truck. Would be cool to find one.

I have a cousin who let his son's hack up his father's. Roughest part was the floor boards. All original. I couldn't believe it got dismantled and sold.

I had a 78 just like that.Green w sport stripes,L20B.5 speed,disc and a/c.

Wonder how many remember mine? 77 or 78, I've forgotten now. Started out white, but after I rolled it, it turned red. After most of the warranty expired, I had it converted to 4 wh dr. And as a few years rolled by, it got lifted, 33'' tires, Buick odd fire 225 V-6, & Muncie 5 speed. I had a LOT of fun in that machine!

Our Dad had a '78(?) Datsun 720... with *automatic* he bought 2nd hand and used for P/U & delivery of OPE...
Also used it to haul firewood from the woods a mile or so home... would load that fawker so full of green hickory (landowner kept the oak) that the axle was on the bumps and the C-rated tires looked flat, pulling his small trailer loaded with rounds too heavy to load in the bed... and we'd laugh our ass' off that it NEVER missed a lick! 🤣

Eventually traded-in on an '87 K1500... that the paint delaminated off the hood within 12 months (1st gen galvanized body/primer nightmare) 🙄
