Sadly this great actor passed away.

He will always be the only Thulsa Doom.

James Earl Jones, 93. RIP

Wife: "Mufasa died!"

Also wife, "What? He couldn't be that old."
Me: "Um, hun he was already well into middle age in Star Wars... in 1976."

Funny how everyone remembers him for different roles.

To me, he was always Thulsa Doom.

And he taught me that muscles, swords, and boobies are magnificent things.
I was maybe 8 when I saw this first. Definitely a few years after it released. I found that character oddly corny. Well more corny then the rest. As an adult it's still corny, but I like it more. Something about it feeling like Kung-Fu theater with weight lifters as the main characters.

J.E.J was an icon for sure. Seeing all the stuff he was in made me realize he was a very good actor with a long history of great roles.

The same thing happend at our house, excapt I said "he was old in the sandlot......and that was 30 years ago!"

That and Mr. Mertle from The Sandlot. Just wanted someone to come by once a week and talk baseball.
This will always be the one for me. Must have watched that movie a thousand time when I was a kid.
