Time for a battery

Toyotas starters in their industrial equipment are notorious for that, run a ground cable.from the stater mount bolt to the frame, you would be surprised how.much it helps

I just installed my replacement starter. It fired right up. I didn't hook that starter to frame ground back up, but I'll go back and put it on. It was there before from the factory.

If anyone sees a sale or coupons for an agm battery let me know. I need one for the TJ.

Went by Batteries+Bulbs at lunch because it was beside of where I was eating and the guy there said the guy who ran Optima was booted out during a merger and has started Northstar battery. They were branded X2 there but they had a 60 month free replacement and they had been excellent batteries. Said they had stop carrying Optima because of sure poor quality and all the warranty claims. Don't know how true all that is but that's what the guy told me. He echoed the feeling here of don't buy an Optima now.

Interesting. Northstar apparently makes the Exide-branded starting batteries.

Holy cow, the Northstar / X2 -35 case for my Subarus (I know the size off the top of my head) is a $275 battery.

Welp, my red top just ate it. I don't drive the car as much as I should, and the battery is 7 years old, but that sucks.

Sigh.

Time for battery shopping. Anyone have updates about the O'Reilly stuff? I want to try something different, that car has already had two Red Tops and doesn't need the CCA now that we're not in -20degF Colorado winter weather any more.
