Time for a facelift!!

when i said start fresh i meant with another jeep, hehe

few questions about your rear 4 link as i am running a VERY similar setup on my rig
how long are you upper and lower links?
how much seperation are you running at the frame and axle?
do you have much flex steer and does it affect your driving at all?
thanks
metty

Uppers are 34", lowers are 36" and there is 7" at the frame and 9" at the axle. There is insignificant flex steer, works like a dream.

Just got back from Harlan and all I can say is I am very pleased with how it preformed.
Made it through lion's den, lower damnation, and mason jar just to name a few. I'll have pics later.

PICS

I was just looking for an updated pic of this build. Build forum material? I was impressed. :D

I haven't done a lot to it since then. I did add a sway bar to the rear but other than that its been working flawlessly. Thank for the comments though. I guess it would be in the build section but I finished it before the separate section was started.

Well after a few years of running the "home made" X-over steering I finally reached the limit of the stock arms and they started to crack at the stud holes, so I decided to get myself an early Christmas gift. I calld up Brandon at RIDES and had him get me a full PSC hydro kit. I got it all put on and took a few pics of the install.....

I tried to make most of the stuff bolt on so I drilled and sleeved the front truss so I could bolt on the ram mount......
attachment.php

I cut the ram mount out of 1/4" alu. and bent it up in the press at work...
attachment.php

I also cut some gussets for the bottom of the plate and miged them on....

Once I got that all worked out and plumed I put on the new high steer arms from Marlin Crawler and made the tie rods...

I added some brake line mounts to the arms as well as cut down the pass. side arm

Turtle head:flipoff2:.....

The ram ended up being offset to the driver side a little so the tie rods are different lengths...

Got the tie rods on and got every thing bolted up...

Went over to MUDPRO metal works and bent out a ram guard made out of 1.75" .1875 wall DOM and welded a flange to bolt the front face of the ram mount.....
attachment.php

Got that all welded up and put on.....

And the finished product.....

Let me just say that the comparison between the two systems is nonexistent. The new kit preforms flawless and I couldn't be happier.

Oh and I hope to get a better camera soon.
