Let me start off by saying it is my little brothers wheels. He needed new tires and Costco had the best deals. So he drops his truck off and leaves

When he picks it up he does not bother inspecting the work and drives it back. Well dad inspects the work and notices three aluminum wheels are messed up. Three...

Harv takes it back right then and lets them know that they damaged his wheels and wants to know how they plan to fix it (without being a dick). they claim it is curb damage, not their fault. ....

Curb damage on three wheels... all at once?????

I googled searched what curb damage does on aluminum wheels and yes, some things look the same but there are some things differnt.

IE

Google... all damage is uniformed and the same length/direction
Us .... Damage is in slightly different directions, and different lengths

My question is how do I prove it was not our fault but their mistake, and what can I expect them to do about it (money refund, or new rims, or repair rims)

I don't think I can post pictures because I am at work and I have them on email.

You can't make them do anything in my opinion. If the wanted to save their reputation they could opt to help fix them or replace them. I don't think you'll get much considering he left. Had he pointed it out prior to leaving maybe. Problems like this do happen and most good shops will point out (maybe take pictures of) damage prior to starting or inform you if they damaged a wheel. Maybe complain to corporate and include photos?

Try reaching out to their corporate office. Social media sometimes helps also.

I hate it but it might be an expensive lesson your brother just learned.

Post some pics when you can. Very similar results from idiots using tire machines incorrectly can mimic "curb rash" around the bead area ;)
If that's the only area of damage and you're 100% little bro didn't curb them without fessing up...

I know alot of shops around the Salisbury area have signs and verbiage on their documents releasing them from any sort of damage. The legality of that, I'm not sure, but it is there.
