Ok I'm fixing to buy some tires for my tacoma probably a mt. Going to be mostly road but I want something that performs well offroad. But has to be for a 15"x12" wheel.
Which tire would you buy and why
Nitto mud grapplers 35 1450
Courser mtx 35 1250
Swamper Ssr 35 1250 or 1450
Goodyear mtr 35 1250
Baja claws 35 1250
Toyo mt 35 1350

Sounds like you need Coopers. They are "mall" rated.

Say what you want about Cooper tires, but they're a much more affordable alternative to a Toyo and they'll last just as long.

Check this out:

I'm not saying the Toyo is a bad tire at all....however, look at the weight difference and the cost. 500 dollars more for the Toyo name! That particular site is also out of stock in the Toyo, but they have the best price you'll find for the Coopers. I bought my 37s from them back in February and with shipping, tax, and mounting them myself, I still came out cheaper than I could get them anywhere locally.

Just something to think about.

Second car tire?

They've got just under 3/4" of tread on them in a 37x12.50-17, so you'll have to forgive me for not believing they'll only last 30k. A Yokohama Geolander MT? Sure...they're soft as hell.

Should have shown them to him :D

I would rather buy swamper truxus mt, if I were spending toyo level money.

If it were a dedicated offroad truck I would definitely get the more aggressive tire you can afford, but for street duty, IMO you need a long lasting aggressive looking at/my hybrid.

As far as cheap stuff, look at Kelly Safari TSR, and definity m/t.

I put them on his truck not 2 years ago lol, honestly still hard to believe
And took I believe his old stts off , I believe mike just Dont have faith in Cooper mud tires last more then 25k on a Xj or tj so I can't see it going that far on a 7900# truck
