I bought a 6 in lift and to save a little cash i wanted to use the stock wheels and just buy wheel spacers and tires. I bought the new general grabbers in 35/12.5/15 the only thing i am worried about is the 12.5 width on the tire. with the tire width be to big for the wheel width? thanks for the help in advanced.

it'll rub like crazy on the sway bar and leafs. tire will be really squashed in on the lip, but you probably could get them on the rim. best look for some 15x8 or 15x10's with less backspacing to them than stock wheels. I had 265-75-15's (31.5x10.5 approx) on stock cherokee wheels and it rubbed sway bar and the control arm...

you can get cheap wheels on summitracing.com as low as 250 shipped

I run 12.5's on my stock TJ wheels but its an 8" rim and a 1.5" spacer.Whats the width of your rim and how big of a spacer are you gonna run. I dont have any rubbing issues with this setup.

I have 225/75/15 tires on the rim right now. I think it a 10 in but I'm not sure what the convertion is. I am running 1 1/4 wheel spacers

I doubt your stock rims are 10", if they are, you're all set. Even an 8" rim is fine, but the "book" recommends 8.5" rim for 12.5 tire. I ran 33x12.5 on 7" rims and it was OK, just had to wathc the tire pressure. Even around 25psi, the center tread wore out quickly.
