tire lean with ford 60 front

regardless of everything said here..... the axle is sitting as it would in the truck it came from..... haven't changed spring perches at all...... so i don't see how it could be that far off.....

This might not matter, but that axle is spec'd from dana to have significantly more weight carried by it than the jeep could ever think about weighing. Could that be contributing? Has anyone ever jacked up a factory dana 60 application to see if the axle unloads and slants the tires like in the pic?? Just my .02.

I like what this guy said.

My $.02 says it's completely normal... just based on EVERY diagram of a Dana axle showing camber shows this lean... no doubt exaggerated by the MUCH larger (dia + width) tires than the factory 7x16s...

Since everyone's googlefoo is weak...

From billavista's D60 hi-steer archive...

This guy was told the same regarding the camber being set for HEAVY motor/bumper/snowplow...
when i did my sas tahoe.the tops of the tires stuck out at the top ,way too far.causing outside edge wear.
i found out 2 things.

1.THERE IS A COMPANY THAT MAKES ADJUSTABLE LOWER KINGPINS!!
and they worked awesome!!
2. my frt dana 60 was from a bigblock snowfighter series truck, and was told the axle had that arch built into it so when the big block for and snowplow went on the axle would be straight and alignment would then be within specs.

how much of2 is correct, idk, but the adj kingpins fixed my truck!

Using camber shims to adjust (cheaper than adj. lower KPs)

Something else to consider... you might want to run an alignment bar through the housing. Wouldn't be the first bent 60 I've seen.
