Anybody have any problems mounting Pit Bull tires or mounting tires on Pro Comp Rock Krusher wheels??? We installed some DIY beadlocks on the wheels and now we can't get the bead to go over the wheel lip. We took it to several tire shops only to have them say that the wheel was made wrong. Since we welded the beadlocks on, we don't have the option of sending the wheels back. These wheels are really kicking our arses!!!!

I did the same thing with my steelies I had a few high spots in the weld & groung them back down a little that helped some but it was alot easier with some real soapy water

It's not a matter of getting the tire slick enough to slide over the rim, it's more of a wheel design. The low spot on the wheel between the beads is offset to the inside of the wheel vice the outside of the wheel. This makes it almost impossible to get the tire on normally. We can install the tire from the back side no problem, it's just that we can't get the outside bead over the wheel to use the bead lock.

sounds like reversed center wheels? are they really low backspacing like 2"?

This has been discussed, but a lot of the time people come to the consensus that you now just have a reinforced steel wheel, because mounting those tires is gonna be HARD

but then again ive heard lots of people say theyve managed to do it, so i guess just keep trying?

Those wheels are like 2 1/2" backspacing. Like you said, reverse center wheels pretty much describes it. We have come to the conclusion that my buddy pretty much just had some pretty expensive beauty rings welded on!!!

Still feel kinda dumb about it but I did the same thing before. I had the wheels narrowed an inch and it fixed everything, well except my pride:rolleyes:
