i need a tire place that will work w/ 2 piece wheels and still not hurt my wallet. i'm trying to get some of GubNi's tires off of those wheels and onto something else. i had no luck doing it myself. thx.

2 piece rims? Or h1 double beadlocks? There's a big difference. Some won't work with split rims, and most won't know what an h1 wheel is..

Blueridge Tire in Lenoir did mine for me,for $15 each to dismount, and $15 each to remount on standard 16" wheel, and balanced them too:beer:

I assume they are the Michelins on the LAV rims. (EDIT: I looked at Gubni's post, yes they are the LAV's.) They are easy to do, about 10 minutes each. I built a simple press to depress the flange while you remove the lock ring. You can use an engine hoist to pluck out the runflats. Here is a link to a how-to on the m715zone.com that shows the flange compressor I made.

My flange compressor tool is heavier duty than others have made, but it was the scrap I had laying around. A couple of pieces of angle work fine.

The hardest part is getting the tire off the rim after you get the flange off. I used soapy water, rested the tire (not rim) on blocks, and a few hits with a sledge and the rim would drop off.

If you are down this way, bring your tires and we'll do them.
