I'll put this here since this is not 4x4 related, move if needed. I rotated my wife's tires on her 09 Saturn Vue and screwed up the dash display on the tire pressures. I've read the owners manual and it doesn't say how to reset this. Any body have any ideas? It's getting cold in the dog house!

If I understand right you want to associate the right sensor with the right location?

I guess this is similar on the 09 impala I used to drive for work it wnet like this.
You pulled the tire pressure screen up on the display and then held down the reset button until all went blank. Then starting at the DF and working lockwise you either add air or hold down the valve stem and remove air until the horn blew and lights flashed . Then moved to the next tire and worked clockwise.

btw typing on a touchsceen phone is beyond my technical abilities obviously

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Don't you just put black electrical tape over them fancy warning lights and whatnots?:driver:

If I did not have to take the dash apart, I damn sure would so the wife would stop saying, when you gonna fix that light. Stupid tire pressure sensors.

Ended up having to take my wife's Altima to the dealer after I replaced a sensor. $20 = fixed, thought it would be a lot more. Bad news is that was a year ago, light came back on this week :( I agree with "stupid tire pressure sensors" :driver:

Nitrogen will help prolong the life of the sensors. Most shops air compressor dump moisture in the tires wich inturn makes the sensors in a moist condition. Moisture and electic sensors don't mix.

I had the left front set and then lost it! &^($% fooled with it a while and they never came back. I'll play with them tomorrow. Ron, I think you are correct but I did something wrong.

I'm a tech at a GM shop and you have to take it to dealership they should reset the monitors for you for free you need a special scanner to do so the correct way

BS there IS a procedure other than take it to the dealer..

Ron is correct. It involves adjusting the pressure at each tire in the proper sequence such that it can 'see' what sensor is at the location its expecting. The trick is to do it in the time allotted.. My dad even did his.. If he can do it anyone can.. I think it helped him to have the valve stem caps removed and a open air chuck to push on the stem.

Off the intarweb 08/09 Vue

1 Turn on your Saturn ignition switch.
2 Press the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons simultaneously on your lock remote. Keep holding the buttons down until you hear the horn beep. This takes about five seconds.
3 Deflate or inflate air into the driver's front-side tire for eight seconds. Listen for the horn to beep one time. When you hear the horn beep, it is an indicator that the tire is at the right pressure level.
4 Repeat the previous step for the remaining three tires. The remaining tires must be checked in the following exact order, the passenger-side front tire, the passenger-side rear tire and the driver-side rear tire.
5 Listen for your horn to beep twice. When the horn beeps twice, it is an indicator that your tire pressure in all four tires is at the recommended level.
6 Turn the ignition switch off. When you turn the ignition back on, the tire pressure light is reset.

Wow!! No love for dealerships I see!! Just trying to help the guy out....besides dealership will do it for free and he doesn't have to screw with doing the key fob way.... And airing down then having to inflate back up....waste of time!!!

Got it! Thanks guys!
