Depends on type of tire, weight of car/truck, and so on. You need to be a lot more specific for a decent answer
 
generic answer: draw a stripe of chalk along the tread, see if it wears off evenly. If the center wears off first, reduce air pressure.
 
RenegadeT's chalk test is a good way to find out the perfect psi for your tire/rig combo. FWIW, I have a fairly new set of 35" Maxxis Bighorns on my 2500 Ram, with the chalk test I ended up running them at 30 psi. You would think that's kinda low for the street but they are wearing evenly :driver:
